  • Sub-base preparation and compaction to specification
  • Curing, joint sealing and surface finish
  • Setting out, level control and stage inspection

Materials used

Everything is approved by submittal before it reaches site.

  • Concrete to the specified grade and slump
  • Reinforcement or dowel bars where the detail calls for them
  • Joint filler, sealant and bond breaker
  • Granular sub-base, compacted in layers

Registered activity and the scope of this work

The company’s commercial registration is issued for building and construction contracting (activity 410001). This package is undertaken within the scope of that registration, the licences in force, and the client’s own approval requirements. Where a package needs an activity or approval we do not currently hold, we say so before pricing rather than after award.

How this work is run

Before mobilisation

A method statement and risk assessment written for this scope, material submittals approved, manpower and plant confirmed.

While the work runs

Daily supervision, stage inspection against the drawings, and site controls enforced whether or not the client’s representative attends.

At handover

Inspection and test records, as-built drawings, and the defects liability period honoured in writing.
