Quality assurance

A contractor is judged on the record as much as on the concrete. Both are deliverables.

From approval to handover

The same sequence on every package, whether it is a small one or a large one.

Material submittal

Materials go for approval before delivery, with source and mill certificate where one exists. Unapproved material does not reach site.

Inspection and test plan

Hold points and witness points agreed before work starts, so both sides know what is inspected, when, and who signs it off.

Setting out and stage inspection

Everything referenced to the client’s benchmark, and each stage checked against the approved drawing before it is covered up.

Non-conformance

Where work does not conform it is recorded, corrected and re-inspected. It is not covered over and quietly moved past.

Handover file

Inspection and test records, as-built drawings and material certificates, handed over as one package rather than scattered across messages.

Defects liability

The defects liability period is honoured in writing, and we return to site to make good anything that appears within it.

We do not hold ISO 9001

What is described above is how the work is run. It is not a quality system certified by an outside body: the company does not hold ISO 9001, and we say so plainly because procurement teams verify these things.

A sample inspection and test plan and a material register template can be provided on request, so the method can be assessed before any award.
